After battling back from a goal down away to Ballisodare, John McAteer's senior men's team claimed a hard-fought 3-2 win on the road at Ballisodare.

Opening the scoring for Merville was Jimmy Monaghan with a left footed free back on 26 minutes. Paul McAteer made it 2-2 on 73 minutes while Tyler Stallard netted his 4th goal of the camping to claim all three points in the dying minutes of the fixture.

Merville United & Coolaney United are the only sides with 100% records at this early stage of the season both with one game less played than the other clubs in the division.
